Kaycee Stroh
The turn of events raised eyebrows even more when her students were taken to the auditions for ‘High School Musical’ where Kaycee was a dancing instructor. She later got the attention of the casting director and was cast as Martha Cox, applause, applause, applause so, who was in every film of the trilogy. Later, after the end of the series, she appeared in Lady Gaga’s – Telephone, and was also seen in ‘Celebrity Fit Club’ in the year 2010. Acting credits also include one episode of The League while performing on an episode of Andi Mack in 2018. The year 2009 was also significant for her as she wed Ben Higginson, and gave birth to two daughters, Zetta, and Lettie.
Ryne Sanborn
Ryne Sanborn started in the entertainment industry at the age of 2 years as a toddler model, which quickly became a hit. At a young age, he also appeared in many TV shows including ‘Touched by an Angel’ and ‘Everwood’ before landing the character Jason Cross in ‘High School Musical.’ It seems So, Sanborn was bored of everything performance related after all those years, as he walked away from acting in 2008, and picked up architecture at the University of Utah, where he graduated. He has also played hockey for Outliers of Salt Lake.
Olesya Rulin
Olesya Rulin emigrated from Russia at the age of eight and quickly pursued ballet and modeling. She also held jobs as a nursing assistant and worked at several retail stores, including Victoria’s Secret and Nordstrom, before landing the role of Kelsi Nielsen in High School Musical. Now a full-time actress, Rulin has appeared in numerous films and TV shows since the series wrapped. She starred alongside Kristin Chenoweth in Family Weekend, voiced the Russian Meg clone in an episode of Family Guy, and played Calista Secor in the PlayStation Network original series Powers.
Chris Warren Jr.
Chris Warren Jr. had some acting experience before landing the role of Zeke Baylor in High School Musical. In the early 2000s, he appeared in a few small films and had a recurring role in four episodes of the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. He also made guest appearances on shows like Zoey 101 and The Bernie Mac Show before being cast as Zeke. Like Olesya Rulin, Chris Warren Jr. has continued to act full time since High School Musical ended. He played Xander in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, portrayed Patterson in MTV’s The Hard Times of RJ Berger, and starred as Ty Hensdale in eight episodes of The Fosters.
Monique Coleman
Before landing the role of Taylor McKessie, Monique Coleman had already appeared in several TV shows, including Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. She also competed in the third season of Dancing with the Stars, finishing fourth alongside partner Louis van Amstel. Since High School Musical, Coleman has continued to focus on television, with her most notable role being Katina Howard in the web series Guidance. In 2010, she launched her own online talk show, Gimme Mo’, and embarked on a global tour as the UN Youth Champion, raising awareness for issues impacting today’s youth.

Yes, there was an actor in High School Musical named Zac Efron—maybe you’ve heard of him? After landing the role of Troy Bolton, Efron skyrocketed to superstardom. Since then, he’s become one of Hollywood’s biggest names, starring in major films like Neighbors, The Disaster Artist, Baywatch, and The Greatest Showman. In 2018, he took on the role of infamous serial killer Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Efron is undoubtedly the biggest breakout star from High School Musical, and it feels like his career is only just beginning. We’re excited to see what he’ll do next!
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens found mainstream success as Gabriella Montez in High School Musical and hasn’t looked back since. Following the success of the first movie, Hudgens signed with Hollywood Records and released two albums in 2006 and 2008. However, she later shifted her focus primarily to acting, with notable roles in films like Spring Breakers and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Hudgens has also made her mark in live theater, starring as Rizzo in Fox’s Grease: Live and taking on the titular role in the 2015 Broadway revival of Gigi.
Ashley Tisdale
Ashley Tisdale has been in the spotlight her entire life. As a child, she appeared in over 100 commercials and regularly performed in both television and theater. While she gained recognition with The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, it was her role as Sharpay Evans in High School Musical that made her a household name. Since then, Tisdale has stayed incredibly busy. In addition to her work in TV and film—including starring in Scary Movie 5—she has released two albums and founded her own production company, Blondie Girl Productions, which has produced shows like Miss Advised and Young & Hungry.
Lucas Grabeel
Lucas Grabeel is the kind of actor who appears to be everywhere. Since High School Musical ended, Grabeel has maintained a steady presence on television. He has voiced characters in various animated shows, including Robot Chicken, Phineas and Ferb, The Cleveland Show, and Family Guy. However, his most recognized role is undoubtedly Toby Kennish in Switched at Birth, a performance that earned him three Teen Choice Award nominations, including two for Choice TV Actor in a Drama.
